Noted Telugu film producer-director EVV Satyanarayana (born June 10, 1956) passed away on Friday night after a cardiac arrest, at Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills.
He was reported to have been undergoing treatment for throat cancer for the past 2 years. He was only 55.
He is survived by his wife and 2 sons, Naresh and Aryan Rajesh.
EVV started his career with Chevilo Puvvu, and Prema Khaidi, which was a hit, kickstarted his successful run. He had a stellar career consisting mostly of comedies. His work has usually been criticized for consisting of risque material, but he moved on to more wholesome content in recent times.
Before he made it on his own, he was an assistant to famous writer and film director Jandhyala.
Some of his other flicks include Abbayi Garu, Appula Apparao, Jambalakadi Pamba, Aame, Aa Okkati Adakku, Hello Brother and
Alludaa Majaaka in Telugu, and Suryavansham in Hindi. His recent movies were
