Popular writer, director and producer M S Reddy (Mallemala) died at his Film Nagar residence in Hyderabad on Sunday, following a prolonged illness. He was 86.
He recently created a flutter by publishing his autobiography "Ide Na Katha", in which he made some remarks that irked Tollywood's biggies.
His writing skills were lauded by the legendary Viswanatha Satyanarayana.
His acting as a honest Chief Minister in Ankusham even created a special space for him in the Telugu film industry.
Born in Nellore in 1925, Reddy produced films under his banner, Kaumidi Art Pictures. Some of his notable films include Sri Krishna Vijayam, Kodenagu, Mutyala Pallaki and Palanati Simham. (INN)
