The funeral of Telugu actor-comedian Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, who passed away on Saturday, will be performed on Monday.
According to family members, the last rites will be performed in his native place in Singarakonda of Prakasam district.
Subramanyam, who had been suffering from cancer and a liver related disorder for the past few months, breathed his last at his residence in P&T Colony of Dilsukhnagar on Saturday night.
The actor made a mark for himself in the famous comedy serial 'Anando Brahmo' on Doordarshan in mid-1980s.
He was introduced to the Telugu films by noted director Jandhyala through his film 'Jayammu Nischayammura' in the late 1980s.
Besides acting, he also wrote and directed serials and a few films.
Several Tollywood personalities and politicians expressed their condolences and paid tributes to the actor. (INN)
