Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has instructed the officers concerned to see that in the coming two years every road in Telangana looked like a mirror.
At a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday afternoon on the condition of the state's roads, the CM said that after irrigation projects, the highest priority would be accorded to roads and highways, and directed that all the 12,751 villages in the state be provided with BT roads.
He also said that the roads and bridges at several places in the state needed repairs, and that some bridges required widening. He asked the R&B officials to come up with a plan of action lay new roads and repair existing roads wherever necessary, and to make them look like, well, mirrors. He said that the necessary budgetary allocation would be made for the purpose.
Irrespective of which party's MLA was representing a particular constituency, repair works of roads were to be undertaken, KCR said.
