The Central government has agreed to lay a 650 KM national highway in Telangana to connect Hyderabad to Bhadrachalam and Kothagudem through Bayyaram, Valigonda, Torrur, Nellikudur, Mahabubabad and Illandu.
As per reports, Telangana Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today called on Union Minister for Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi and discussed four key issues related to roads in the State.
Chief Minister KCR, too, personally spoke to Gadkari, after which the union minister agreed to sanction the roads.
Gadkari directed the concerned officials to sanction proposals for the national highway project immediately.
In January 2016, Gadkari had promised a stretch of 1,800 KM of national highways for Telangana, which are likely to start off with this project.
