Former minister and TRS MLA Etela Rajender today left for Delhi by a flight from the Shamshabad airport.
He was accompanied by former TRS MLA Enugu Ravinder Reddy.
The visit has assumed importance amid reports that Etela is planning to join the BJP.
The political corridors of the state are abuzz with the reports that state BJP president Bandi Sanjay and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy will also leave for Delhi in a day or two.
Etela was removed from the cabinet by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao after news reports cropped up that the former had encroached upon assigned lands of poor farmers of Masaipeta of Medak district.
Etela has been meeting Congress and BJP leaders since then. He confirmed that he had meet Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, and the BJP leaders also revealed that the national leadership of the party had given the green signal to welcome him into the party.
