The BJP candidate for the Huzurabad by-election claimed that the TRS leaders were indulging in cheap politics by blaming him for the suspension of Dalit Bandhu.
Former minister and BJP candidate for the Huzurabad Assembly constituency by-election Etela Rajender today hit out at the TRS leaders claiming that they were indulging in cheap politics by blaming him for the suspension of the Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad.
He dared the ruling party leaders to prove that he was responsible for the suspension of the scheme, and alleged that the TRS leaders were levelling allegations against him as they didn't have the will to implement the scheme across the state.
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering during his election campaign.
He added that CM K Chandrashekar Rao routinely made promises during the elections and forgot them later, and the CM talked about SCs and job notifications only when there were elections in the state. The people however had seen through this now, and his victory in the by-election was a foregone conclusion, Rajender claimed.
Referring to the allegations by state Finance Minister T Harish Rao that he (Etela) had had his eye on the CM's post, Rajender said that the people of his constituency would respond to the allegations.
He also said that it was his continuous visits to hospitals during the Covid pandemic that had angered KCR.
