Former Health Minister of Telangana Etala Rajender, who has been meeting with
various prominent political personalities of the state to chart out his political future after he was
dismissed from his post for his alleged involvement in land grabbing in Medak, today met another leader.
Rajender met Congress leader and former minister Konda Surekha to reportedly discuss his future political trajectory with her.
After the meeting, the TRS leader reportedly talked about how the leaders of the ruling party leaders were carrying out "attacks" on the public representatives in his constituency, Huzurabad.
The ousted minister also alleged that a state minister (most likely a reference to Minister Gangula Kamalakar), who had not even been able to "contribute in any way to the Telangana agitation" and had been unfairly appointed as the party in charge of Huzurabad, was trying to
induce some village sarpanches and other public representatives to turn against him (Rajender). He, however, asserted that the pink party would not be able to sway public opinion using "underhand means".
Calling the attempts futile, Rajender said that such attempts had not worked in undivided Andhra Pradesh either, and advised the ruling party's leaders to focus their attention on saving the lives of the "Covid-affected people of the state" instead of on "offering inducements" to the public representatives of his constituency.
He even added that the people of Karimnagar would teach the KCR regime "a befitting lesson" at the right time.
