Never Grabbed Lands, TRS Govt Threatening Us: Etela Jamuna

Etela Jamuna, wife of ousted minister Etela Rajender, today hit out at the TRS government for threatening her family using police and intelligence personnel.

Addressing a press conference at her Shamirpet residence, Jamuna, without naming any TRS leaders or Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, accused the TRS government of carrying out a misinformation campaign on her family's hatcheries and godowns.

She also alleged that they were trying to get her family's godowns shut and throttle her family's businesses.

"We purchased 46 acres of land in Masaipet, and did not grab a bit of any land. We came up through hard work, and never deceived anyone. I will rub my nose on the earth if the officials prove that even one acre has been grabbed by us. Will they do the same if they can't?" she asked.

"We came in 1992 and bought lands in Devara Yamjal in 1994. Though we were pressured to follow YSR and avoid fighting for statehood, we sold our assets during the statehood movement to achieve Telangana. And we are prepared to sell them again to defend our names, and the self-respect of our golden Telangana. The newspaper coming out of our godown area is carrying false stories. This false campaign will not work against our business, and we know how to fight it. We will win the battle against these falsehoods, and truth will prevail," she added.

She also alleged that the government and the TRS leadership were resorting to caste politics, which was not the case in the united state.

"Our fight is for a casteless society, freedom for all and economic development of all sections," she claimed.
