TDP Questions KCR Silence On Guv Special Powers
Telangana TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao asked why KCR did not object when special powers to the Governor were originally incorporated into the Telangana Bill.
Telangana TDP senior leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Sunday asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to clarify why he remained silent when the clause of special powers for the Telangana Governor was originally incorporated into the A P Reorganisation Act 2014.
Speaking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Errabelli said that the TRS leaders had celebrated when the Telangana Bill was passed in the Parliament during the previous UPA regime. He asked then if KCR had not read the contents of the Bill which clearly mentioned the special powers to Governor in the joint capital area of Greater Hyderabad.
He said that the BJP-led NDA Government was only implementing the Bill, and therefore, should not be blamed for the same.
Errabelli condemned KCR for blaming Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the Centre's letter on the Governor's Special Powers. He alleged that KCR was targeting Chandrababu Naidu only to divert the people's attention from his failures.
He said that KCR's wrong policies and approach have been hurting the interests of Telangana people. He said that although the entire opposition was ready to cooperate with KCR for Telangana's development, he was not showing any interest in engaging them to work as a team. (INN)
