A few weeks after defecting, former floor leader of TDP Errabelli Dayakar Rao today fired his first salvo against former boss and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.
A few weeks after crossing over to the ruling TRS, former floor leader of Telugu Desam Party Errabelli Dayakar Rao today fired his first salvo against his former boss and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Interacting with mediapersons in the Assembly on Saturday during a debate on the Motion Of Thanks to the Governor's address, Rao made a sensational remark saying that the merger of the 12 defecting TDP legislators into the ruling TRS was nothing when compared to Chandrababu Naidu dethroning TDP founder-president and then Chief Minister N T Rama Rao in a coup to become the Chief Minister.
"Everybody knows what Naidu did and how he managed to get the support of the other TDP MLAs to become the Chief Minister by overthrowing NTR," he said sarcastically.
When asked, Rao said that the 12 TDP members joining the ruling Party was purely a merger and not at all a defection. He also denied having made any call to the ruling Party to join it.
Rao also said that it was for Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary to clarify on the merger and the recognition of the 12 MLAs as ruling Party members.
Claiming to be the most recognized leader in the State after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Rao said that he was continuing as an associate member of the TRS.
