Election Schedule For MLC seats In AP, Telangana Announced
13 MLC seats are falling vacant in the Andhra Pradesh and two seats are falling vacant in Telangana.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced the schedule for biennial elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to fill the vacancies arising in the respective State Legislative Councils.
13 MLC seats are falling vacant in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council - three in the graduates' constituencies, two in the teachers' constituencies and eight in the local bodies' quota - and two seats, one each in the teachers' constituencies and the local bodies' quota, are falling vacant in Telangana.
Katepalli Janardhan Reddy is going to retire from the Mahabubnagar - Ranga Reddy - Hyderabad teachers' constituency, and M S Prabhakar Rao will be retiring as MLC from the Hyderabad local authorities' constituency, on May 1.
The Election Commission announced that the notification for these biennial elections would be issued on February 16. The last date for nominations will be February 23, and the scrutiny will take place the following day. The last date for the withdrawal of nominations will be February 27. The polling will be held on March 13, and the counting of votes will take place on March 16. The entire election process would be completed by March 21, an official release from the EC said.
