Elaborate Security Arrangements Made For GHMC Elections
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar said that elaborate arrangements had been made to ensure that the GHMC elections could be conducted peacefully.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar today said that elaborate security arrangements had been made to ensure that Tuesday's GHMC elections could be conducted smoothly and peacefully.
Speaking to the media, Sajjanar said that 13,500 police personnel had been deployed for the same, of which 10,500 were civil police officials and the remaining were from the armed reserved police, and that the policemen had all been administered training for the exercise thrice.
He also said that 38 striking force teams, 11 special striking teams, 9 CP Reserve TRSMA teams, 11 flying squads and 11 static surveillance teams would also oversee the elections.
Adding that of the 2,437 polling stations set up for the elections, 766 were in sensitive and 250 were in hyper-sensitive localities, the CP stated that high-ranking officials had been specially deployed to the police stations near the sensitive and hyper-sensitive areas for the elections.
Besides this, 15 border checkpoints had been set up across the city, and 177 mobile teams would patrol the city, he said.
