Governor E S L Narasimhan paid tributes to the former Governor of united Andhra Pradesh Surjit Singh Barnala, who passed away on Saturday.
At a program held in Raj Bhavan, the Governor recalled his association with S S Barnala and lauded his contribution towards "upholding the democratic principles and values of the Indian society".
He said that Barnala would always be remembered for his services as the Governor of united AP.
He also said that the nation had lost an effective administrator and good human being. Narasimhan, along with his advisers and the Raj Bhavan staff, observed a two-minute silence in the memory of the departed ex-Governor.
