Dubbaka MLA Ramalinga Reddy Passes Away
4-time TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy, the MLA for Dubbaka and the Assembly Estimates Committee Chairman, died today of cardiac arrest.

4-time TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy, the MLA for Dubbaka and the Assembly Estimates Committee Chairman, died today of cardiac arrest at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
He was 57, and leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter.
After surgery for his leg recently, Reddy fell sick and was shifted to the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Gachibowli, where he breathed his last in the early hours of Thursday.
Hailing from Chittur in Dubbaka, Reddy was a journalist before joining active politics. He joined the TRS in 2001, and played a key role in the movement for statehood for the Telangana region. He turned a close confidante of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and of ministers T Harish Rao and K T Rama Rao, which ensured a steep rise for him politically and four terms as MLA. He was elected twice on a TRS ticket from the Dommata constituency in combined Andhra Pradesh in 2004 and 2008, and after the formation of Telangana and shifting base to Dubbaka in Siddipet district, was elected twice again to the Assembly from the constituency, in 2014 and 2018.
He was noted as a dedicated MLA who tried his best to develop his Dubbaka constituency.
KCR, Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana ministers K T Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Ministers E Rajender, E Dayakar Rao, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, A Indrakaran Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, T Srinivas Yadav, Sabitha Indira Reddy, Koppula Eshwar and V Srinivas Goud, and other top leaders condoled the death of Reddy. They said that Reddy's death was a big loss to the TRS and the people of Dubbaka.
The final rites were performed at his native village, and were attended by many top TRS leaders, including the Chief Minister.
