The Third Metropolitan Magistrate B Chengalaraya Nayudu sentenced 15 persons to imprisonment for a period of 3 days each, for drunken driving.
The enforcement against drunk driving was carried out over the last weekend, i.e., on May 3 and 4. A total of 318 cases were booked against those driving in an inebriated condition.
The vehicles of all the respondents were detained. The offenders attended the compulsory counselling sessions at TTI, Begumpet and Goshamahal on Monday.
The detained vehicles include 138 two-wheelers, 15 three-wheelers and 65 four-wheelers.
The respondents were produced before the III Metropolitan Magistrate Court, and fines between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 2,100 were imposed on them.
From January 1, 2013 to May 4, 2013, a total of 4,417 cases have been registered, and 316 persons imprisoned. (INN)
Atleast a vehicle rider should know the prime fact that he is using it for a cause and not for making his / her riding newsense to the other road users and pedestarians
Why the vehicle riders (2,3 4 wheeler) drive with the headlight beam upwards where as the road is on the ground, is it that the case of negligent driving style???????
