Panchayat Raj and Rural Development wings should work on par with other wings fetching good name to the government through power supply, industrial policy, Mission Bhagiratha to give potable water to rural people, lakes restoration to irrigate crops in villages.
Taking a cue from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's vision of bringing the poorest of the poor to the fore and provide them with jobs, officials should reach out to rural people and help them develop at a steady pace, he said.
The minister urged the officials to initiate pension schemes for rural people, reactivate rural women's associations and involve them in government schemes.
He also asked them to provide job opportunities to villagers by employing them in sanitation, compost, soak pit construction and other works in villages.
