Banks Lend Rs. 6,750 Crores To Mission Bhagiratha
A consortium of seven banks headed by Andhra Bank lent Rs. 6,750 crores to the State's prestigious drinking water supply project.

A consortium of seven banks headed by Andhra Bank lent Rs. 6,750 crores to Telangana's flagship Mission Bhagiratha in partnership with the State government.
Panchayat Raj Secretary S P Singh, Finance Principal Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Finance Secretary and Information Commissioner Navin Mittal, and others held a meeting at the Andhra Bank head office with the consortium attended by Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director Suresh N Patel, among others.
The banks that will lend loans for the drinking water scheme are Andhra Bank, Dena Bank, Punjab And Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, Bank Of Maharashtra, Indian Bank and Allahabad Bank.
Suresh Patel said that Andhra Bank had already promised to extend Rs. 1,300 crores of loan for the project, and was now fulfilling it.
"We are proud to partner with the State government in its efforts to supply safe and potable waters to the rural areas," he added.
