Don't Have Any Alliance With TRS: Asaduddin Owaisi

AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi today made it clear that the MIM did not have any alliance with the TRS for the upcoming GHMC elections.

Owaisi also claimed that the MIM would win 52 divisions on its own in the upcoming elections, up from the 44 divisions won in the previous elections, and that the development works done by the party leaders would ensure the party's victories in the elections.

He made these remarks while addressing a gathering during his padayatra in the Nampally Assembly constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, he came down heavily on the BJP. He alleged that the BJP was forcibly thrusting Hindutva on the people of the state.

Owiasi also alleged that the BJP-led union government had not provided any help to the city after it was hit by the floods last month, and that the BJP was raking up the issue of religion to hide its failure to extend any kind financial assistance to the state in general. He demanded that the BJP leaders reveal the specifics of the financial help extended by the Centre to the state.

Commenting on the love jihad issue being raised by the BJP, Owaisi said that the law being contemplated was against Articles 14 and 21 of the Indian constitution, and advised the BJP leaders to read the constitution first before commenting on the issue.
