Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Officer on Special Duty (OSD) P Seshadri, popularly known as Dollar Seshadri, died in the city of a heart stroke in the early hours of Monday.
He had come to the city to participate in the "Karthika Deepotsavam" program.
Seshadri had joined the TTD in 1978 and had served the institution in various capacities. He retired in 2007, but had been working in the Tirumala temple under extension as an OSD ever since. He had also remained the face of the TTD, and was known for his close association with several politicians including Presidents, Prime Ministers and Chief Ministers of the Telugu states besides religious personalities.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy expressed his shock and grief over the death of Seshadri. The CM conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members of Seshadri.
Former CM and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, TTD Chairman Y V Subba Reddy, former AP Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam and others too expressed their grief over the sudden demise of Seshadri.
