Hyderabad | 2nd November 2020
The family members of the victims of the sensational Disha police encounter today approached members of the judicial commission which was constituted by the Supreme Court of India to inquire into the alleged encounter.

The meeting took place on the premises of the High Court of the state.

During the meeting, the family members urged the commission to issue orders to stop the movie being made on the encounter by Ram Gopal Varma.

They told the commission that the victims were being shown unfairly as villains in the movie, and wanted to know how the movie could be made when an inquiry by the commission was already underway.

They also told the commission that the movie was violating their rights to life, and would have an impact on the young children in their families, in addition to hurting the psyches and social statuses of all of them.

Incidentally, the father of Disha, Sridhar Reddy, had already approached the High Court with the same plea.
