Digvijaya Singh Rejects Apology Demand By TRS

The Congress leader, under fire for his controversial comments against the Telangana police, further aggravated the situation by refusing to apologize.
Hyderabad | 2nd May 2017
Congress senior leader Digvijaya Singh, who is under fire for his controversial comments against the Telangana police that it was luring Muslim youth to join Islamic State, further aggravated the situation by stating that he stood by what he had said.

There was no question of his tendering any apology, he said.

The Congress leader said, "I am ready to fight in the courts - let them file a case against me."

It was not proper to mislead the Muslim youth while claiming to provide 12% reservation to Muslims, Singh said.

Top TRS leaders, including Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, condemned the statement of the Congress leader and demanded that he tender an apology for his comment.
