Stating that he was extending his thanks to the persons who filed police cases against him in Hyderabad, AICC general secretary and Telangana Congress party affairs in-charge Digvijaya Singh asked the police to invite the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, the National Security Council advisor and the Intelligence Bureau chief as witnesses in the case.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Singh said that he had stated facts, and that he had evidence, too.
"I will face the case as per the law," he said.
Singh also asked MIM why it was not taking care of the issue of the police trapping Muslim youth in Hyderabad. He alleged that the MIM was more interested in its businesses, and had helped BJP in the Bihar and Uttar Pradesh elections by contesting in them though it knew it would lose, in return for favours. He further criticized MIM by saying that it always extended its services to the ruling party whichever it may be.
It may be recalled that Digvijaya Singh tweeted that the Telangana police had created a fake ISIS website and were provoking Muslim youth through it. The police took his tweets seriously and filed cases under three sections of the IPC.
