AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, on Monday, appealed to Seemandhra government employees to call off their strike against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
"Nothing will be achieved by this kind of a strike," Digvijay Singh said, while appealing to the employees to reconsider their decision.
He said that the government has opened the door for discussions, and that they ought to avail themselves of that opportunity rather than going on strike.
"Every strike results in hardships to the common man, and therefore, I strongly appeal to all those who have gone on strike to come back to work," he said.
Digvijay Singh said that by going on strike, the employees would be causing unnecessary hardships to the common people of Seemandhra and Telangana regions. He said that he was ready for discussions, and that a delegation of employees could meet him today or tomorrow. (INN)
