Five cabinet ministers did not attend the State Cabinet held at the State Secretariat here on Friday evening.
Despite Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar's request, Roads and Buildings Minister B Dharmana Prasad Rao did not attend the cabinet meeting, which was held after about three months. He has tendered his resignation after CBI named him in the charge sheet pertaining to Vanpic land allotments case.
While other ministers who did not attend the cabinet meeting are - Galla Aruna Kumari, N Raghuveera Reddy, Dr J Geetha Reddy and Thota Narasimhulu.
While Revenue Minister Raghuveera Reddy is busy with the Padayatra in Kurnool district, Aruna Kumar is in the United State. Sources say that Dr Geetha Reddy was in Puttaparthi on Friday and therefore, could not attend the cabinet meeting. The reasons for Registration and Stamps Minister’s skipping the meeting could not be ascertained. (INN)
