DGP Must Apologise To Shankar Rao: Kavitha

Telangana Jagruthi leader Kavitha on Sunday demanded that DGP V Dinesh Reddy apologise to Dr P Shankar Rao for the unruly behavior of police while taking him into custody.

Kavitha called on former minister Dr Shankar Rao, who is being treated at Care Hospital. The arrest of Dr Shankar Rao has evoked a wide range of protests from political and dalit circles.

The Chief Minister had ordered a high level inquiry into the incident and the team members had questioned a few people in this connection. The police contend that Shankar Rao did not cooperate during the questioning while there is pressure mounting from many quarters to take action against them. (INN)
