BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao, termed the installation of a Telangana Thalli statue in the Secretariat on December 9 as a foolish act, and asked the State government if that was what it was supposed to be doing.
KCR held a meeting with his party MLAs and MLCs at his farmhouse in Erravelli today to discuss the strategy to be followed in the Assembly during the upcoming Assembly session. Speaking on the occasion, KCR expressed his displeasure over the Congress government changing the statue of Telangana Thalli. He said that the government should focus on solving public problems, not changing statues.
He also asked the BRS MLAs and MLCs to attend the session and corner the government on all the issues facing the State, and speak of how the government had failed on all fronts. He called for highlighting the "failures" of the Gurukuls and the education sector, and expose the government's malafide intentions behind the Musi river and HYDRA. He said that the party's MLAs and MLCs should also speak of the benefits of the BRS' flagship schemes like Rythu Bandhu, and how the Congress had killed those benefits for the people.
"The failures of the Congress to come through on its election promises should be highlighted in the session," KCR said.
He also said that all committees of the party would be formed in the State after February. The membership registration would take place after the formation of the committees, he added.
