D Nagender Blames GHMC Chief For Rajaiah Dismissal
The former minister alleged that Somesh Kumar had misled Telangana CM KCR over Dr Rajaiah. Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao too condemned the dismissal.
Former minister Danam Nagender claimed that GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar was responsible for the dismissal of Dr T Rajaiah from the cabinet of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Speaking to media persons on Monday, Nagender alleged that Somesh Kumar had misled the Chief Minister over Dr Rajaiah.
He said that Somesh Kumar enjoyed a good clout in the State Secretariat, and that he, along with a few other bureaucrats, had misled the Chief Minister and provoked him to dismiss Dr Rajaiah.
Nagender demanded a detailed explanation from KCR over Rajaiah's dismissal, and accused KCR of setting a wrong precedent.
Nagender said that if KCR was accusing Rajaiah of being inefficient, then he should explain his own achievements during the last eight months. Further, the Chief Minister should also elaborate on how empowered his cabinet colleagues were.
Addressing a separate press conference, Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao too condemned Rajaiah's dismissal, and described it as an insult for all elected representatives.
He demanded a high-level probe into the allegations which prompted KCR to dismiss Rajaiah. (INN)
