DS Warns Naidu To Behave

The PCC chief advised Naidu to not tarnish the image of the Opposition Leader's position.
Hyderabad | 21st October 2010
Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas, on Wednesday, advised Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu to not tarnish the image of the Opposition Leader's position and to behave in a responsible manner.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, DS said the TDP leader has brought disrepute to the State by resorting to the dharna seeking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's appointment during his visit.

"Mr. Naidu, who has vast experience as chief minister of the State, should not have resorted to such cheap gimmicks, seeking PM's appointment to press people's problems. As a responsible Opposition leader, he could have contacted the Chief Minister and brought the people's issues to his notice," DS asserted.

The PCC chief also refuted the statements of the TDP chief linking microfinance institutions with AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi.

He said that Rahul Gandhi has no connection with the MFIs and that he cannot dictate terms with them.

He asked Naidu to stop issuing baseless statements against Congress leaders and uphold the values in politics.

"If he does not stop his malicious campaign, Congress leaders will take serious action against him," he warned.
