Singh Is The Weakest PM: Venkaiah

The Prime Minister has preferred the loyalty of Nehru-Gandhi family over the country's welfare, says BJP's Venkaiah Naidu.
Hyderabad | 5th January 2014
BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday described Dr. Manmohan Singh as the "weakest Prime Minister of India ever".

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, Venkaiah Naidu said that the Prime Minister, during his latest press conference, has admitted his failure to run the country properly in the last nine-and-a-half year tenure. He said that the Prime Minister has preferred the loyalty of Nehru-Gandhi family over the country's welfare.

Venkaiah Naidu said that the UPA's regime was full of corruption, bloodshed and unemployment. He said that the country's GDP fell from 9% to 4% during its tenure, while the agriculture GDP dropped by 1.9%. He said that all sectors registered a negative growth during the rule of the Congress-led UPA government.

Stating that only Narendra Modi can undo the damage done by the UPA government, he said that the Congress was targeting the BJP's prime ministerial candidate out of fear of losing the next elections.

Regarding the Telangana Bill, the BJP leader said that the Bill should be debated in the state legislature. (INN)
