Hyderabad | 27th April 2021
The Cyberabad Police and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), both known for introducing many unique programs to help the citizens of Hyderabad, especially during challenging times like these, today launched yet another innovative service.

They launched a COVID-Telemedicine Consultation Call Centre Facility for the citizens of Telangana's capital. The program will be run in collaboration with the health care vertical of the SCSC, which is headed by Dr Rajeev Menon.

Disclosing this in a press note, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar said the initiative had been launched as the medical and healthcare system in Hyderabad and Telangana was under tremendous pressure due to the pandemic seeing which both the Cyberabad police and the SCSC had felt the need to help relieve this pressure while also helping the public access medical advice easily.

"With the launch of this new call centre, we will be able to address the immediate and basic needs of the public's Covid-19 related queries, thereby answering some concerns and preventing panic. This will also relieve some pressure from the medical sector, we hope," Sajjanar said.

SCSC General Secretary Krishna Yedula also spoke about the telephonic consultation service, and said, "Any citizen, whether symptomatic or asymptomatic, who has tested positive and requires free advice on mild symptoms, guidance on treatment and monitoring, other precautions, vaccination and guidance in assessing the need for hospital admission, may call our CYB-SCSC COVID-Telemedicine Consultation Call Centre at +9 18045811138 for help."

Dr Rajeev Menon thanked the volunteers who had chosen to participate, and said, "We sincerely thank all the doctors who have generously volunteered to help people through this service from the Continental Hospitals, Sunshine Hospitals, Citizens Hospitals, Medicover Hospitals, SLG Hospitals & AIG Hospitals."

Today's announcement comes on the heels of the launch of a free ambulance service that was started for the citizens of Hyderabad. It is already becoming quite popular.
