The Cyberabad Police on Monday arrested four notorious habitual offenders of day-cum-night burglaries, and recovered stolen property worth nearly Rs. 40 lakh from them.
According to the police, the accused were involved in as many as 33 cases of burglaries in the limits of the Cyberabad and Hyderabad Commissionerates.
The arrests were made by the Special Operation Team (SOT) of Cyberabad and CCS Balanagar, which recovered 1.03 kilos of gold and 5.20 kilos of silver ornaments, all worth Rs. 40,00,000.
The accused have been identified as Mohd. Khaleel, Mohd. Sarvar, Allam Suresh and Palnati Rakesh, all aged between 23 and 33 years.
Khaleel, is a city dossier criminal (CDC No. 2146) of the Nallakunta Police Station. He was arrested and sent to jail 16 times.
The other accused, too, have criminal backgrounds. (INN)
