The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate will be providing bandobust for fair and peaceful conduct of four upcoming elections - i. e. Urban Local Bodies, Panchayath Raj Bodies, Gram Panchayats and General Elections - in the next 40 days.
The Urban Local Bodies elections will be held on March 30 in the three Nagara Panchayats of Pedda-Amberpet, Ibrahimpatnam and Badangpet falling within the Cyberabad limits.
15 ZPTCs and 357 MPTCs where polling will be held in two phases on April 6 and 8th too fall within the Cyberabad limits.
Then, as many as 21 Gram Panchayats in Cyberabad will go to polls on April 13.
And 5 Parliament and 10 Assembly constituencies where polling will be held on April 30 too fall under the Cyberabad Police limits.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Cyberabad Commissioner C V Anand said that there are 4,372 polling stations, 1,604 polling locations and 42,16,406 voters in the Cyberabad limits.

Andhra Pradesh is identified by the Election Commission of India as one of the "Expenditure Sensitive States", and therefore as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, 31 Static Surveillance Teams (SST) and 31 Flying Squads (at 3 per Assembly segment) have been formed under the charge of the Executive Magistrate and with police personnel to curb and prevent the flow of illegal money, liquor and other materials intended to influence voters, Anand said.
As many as 12 inter-district border check-posts have also been established at Dabeerpura, Turkapalli, Gagilapur, Ankireddipalli, Kepal, Mal, Kothaguda, Kandukur Jenvada, Chandanagar (old Bombay road), Palamakula and Tolkatta to prevent illegal transportation of liquor, money, arms and ammunition, explosives and objectionable materials.
To have effective and visible policing, vehicle checking and frisking is being organized in 178 sectors in Cyberabad limits twice daily.
Anand said that the above teams would ensure implementation of the Model Code of Conduct as per the guidelines of the ECI.
As on March 26, 199 NBWs had been executed, 1,463 private licensed weapons got deposited, 1,407 persons were bound over for good behavior, 93 cases were booked under the A. P. Excise Act and liquor worth about Rs. 5,60,000 was seized.
42 cases of Model Code violation were booked against the Congress (12), TDP (9), BJP (5), YSRCP (3), TRS (05), CPI (1), CPM (1), BSP (1), Jana Sena (1), Welfare Party of India (1) and others (3), and Rs. 5,40,29,704 cash was seized during vehicle checkings. (INN)
