Criminal Cases Against Rana, Vijay Devarakonda, Prakash Raj

The Miyapur police have registered a case against popular actors and others for promoting betting apps.

Some 25 people, including actors and social media influencers, have been named in the FIR.

The list of film celebrities includes Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Manchu Lakshmi, Pranitha Subhash and Nidhi Agarwal.

The social media influencers include Ananya Nagalla, Siri Hanumanthu, Srimukhi, Varshini Soundararajan, Vasanthi Krishnan, Shobha Shetty, Amrutha Chowdhury, Nayani Pavani, Neha Paran, Pandu, Padmavati, Imran Khan, Vishnu Priya, Harsha Sai, Bayya Sunny Yadav, anchor Shyamala, Tasty Teja, Ritu Chowdhury and Bandaru Supreeta.

The police registered the case based on the complaint of Pramod Sharma, a resident of Miyapur.

Some of the actors however claimed that the promotions were quite old, and that they were to be used only in areas where the apps were legal.
