A case has been registered against former minister and BRS MLA Ch Malla Reddy in the Shamirpet police station.
The case was lodged in a complaint that Reddy had encroached upon 42 acres of land belonging to tribals.
The police registered a case on the complaint against Reddy under the SC, ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, and started investigation against the former minister.
The victims complained that Reddy had illegally registered the tribal lands overnight during the recent Assembly elections.
In the past, too, there were accusations of land-grabbing against Reddy. Cases have also been registered in this regard.
It is worth noting that this case has been registered against Reddy soon after the defeat of the BRS in the Assembly elections.
Reddy won from the Medchal constituency in the elections.
