The Hyderabad City Civil Court today directed State Endowments Minister Konda Surekha to refrain from making any future comments against BRS working president K T Rama Rao.
The court also ordered Google, YouTube, X and Meta to remove objectionable comments and videos posted by Surekha from their online platforms.
The court issued these directives in response to a Rs 100-crore defamation suit filed by KTR, and scheduled the next hearing for November 11.
A press release from the court on the proceedings said, "The court ordered the removal of these remarks from the media, social media platforms, websites and all social media channels. It also instructed YouTube, Facebook and Google to delete videos containing these comments. Media outlets that broadcast or published these remarks were directed to remove all related content from the social media."
For the uninitiated, a couple of weeks back Surekha had claimed that KTR had tried to extort money from Nagarjuna to not demolish the latter's N Convention and was the reason for discord in the Nagarjuna family and for the Naga Chaitanya - Samantha divorce, and seemed to imply that KTR was a womaniser and did drugs.
