The Munsif Magistrate at Nampally Court on Tuesday on Tuesday ordered doctors at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences to administer liquid food and required medicines to former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in order to save his life.
The court order came after Saifabad police
approached it in view of Naidu's deteriorating health. The court also directed the doctors to take the help of police if Naidu still refuses to take the medicines and liquid food.
Earlier, the court had dismissed the plea filed by the Saifabad police to direct it to order the doctors to administer Naidu the liquid food.
The police had approached the court and presented the medical report given by doctors at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences where Naidu is presently admitted.
The police, however, were caught unprepared when the magistrate asked them to produce the documents showing Naidu's arrest and the registration of the case against the TDP chief.
The police officials said that they did not have the necessary documents with them, at which the magistrate refused to pass orders, saying that if there is no police case against the former chief minister, then the police have no jurisdiction asking the court to pass orders.
The police then assured the magistrate that they would approach the court with the arrest documents.
Naidu's health has deteriorated at NIMS, as his indefinite hunger strike entered the 5th day on Tuesday.
