TRS Planned Dubbaka Defeat To Weaken Harish Rao: Congress

The TRS strategically created sympathy for the BJP candidate by having the police target him and his associates through searches, the Congress claimed.
Hyderabad | 11th November 2020
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Election Co-ordination Committee Convenor G Niranjan said that the internal fighting within the TRS for the top leadership was the reason that BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao had won as MLA of the Dubbaka Assembly constituency.

The outcome was the result of a plan hatched to defame a minister (read: Harish Rao) who had taken up the responsibility of campaigning, and to belittle him in the party.

This was done as he was a possible threat to the leadership of KTR, Niranjan said.

That was the reason that no other minister was involved in this campaign - so as to make Rao the scapegoat.

The TRS strategically created sympathy for the BJP candidate by having the police target him and his associates through searches, Niranjan said.
