Peddapalli Congress MP Dr. G Vivek on Saturday demanded that the state government release a white paper on the revenues generated from the Telangana region.
Talking to reporters, Vivek said that the government must utilise the revenues generated from Telangana for the development of the region.
He also accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of diverting the investment proposals received during the Partnership Summit to the Seemandhra region.
However, the Peddapalli MP said that several investment proposals were received during the regime of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and K Rosaiah, and that these proposals are now being shown as fresh, with most of them even being diverted to the Seemandhra region.
He asked the Chief Minister to take the investments to Seemandhra only after the bifurcation of the state.
Vivek said that the by-elections in the Telangana region would be a referendum for the Congress party.
He predicted that the Congress would be wiped off from the region if the Centre delays the decision on statehood further.
Accusing Governor E S L Narasimhan, the Chief Minister and the DGP of sending misleading information on AP to the Centre, Vivek said that the Congress High Command must soon announce its position on a separate Telangana. (INN)
