Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday accused the Congress of misusing the Central Bureau Of Investigation for political gains.
Talking to reporters after reaching New Delhi, Naidu opined that the ruling Congress party has not been allowing the CBI to function independently.
He said that for most of the time, the CBI has been acting at the behest of the Congress. He said that the CBI should be freed from the clutches of the ruling party in the interest of the nation.
Naidu said that the TDP would hold an all-party meeting in New Delhi on Monday to discuss the problems being faced by farmers in Andhra Pradesh.
He said that an action plan would be finalised during the meeting to launch a massive agitation against the state and central Governments for their failure to help drought-hit farmers. (INN)
