Telugu Desam Party leader Payyavula Keshav, on Monday, remarked that Congress leaders prefer their posts over a united Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to reporters, Payyavula said that union ministers K Chiranjeevi, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and others are more interested in power than in a Samaikyandhra. Similarly, he said, business is more important to Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, than the idea of a united AP.
He said that Congress leaders, especially Lagadapati, were confined to discussions on television news channels. He suggested that they join the real movement to keep the state united.
Payyavula alleged that the Congress leaders were enacting a "drama" of resignations to mislead people, and added that Samaikyandhra activists must be cautious with such leaders. (INN)
