TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar today attributed the
Nalgonda market stone-throwing incident to the handiwork of Congress leaders.
Addressing a press conference at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Legislature Party office on Friday, Prabhakar accused Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy of enacting a drama.
Reddy got his henchmen to vandalise the market yard in teams, and the incident was now recognized by everybody as a conspiracy hatched by Reddy, he said.
He also slammed Congress leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy, K Jana Reddy, Shabbir Ali and others for blindly supporting Venkat Reddy without knowing the facts.
The TRS leader said that Venkat Reddy had failed to keep his promise of building the market yard though he had been voted twice as MLA of the constituency, and was now worried that he was being called out over it, with the state government start the works for the market yard. That made him decide to try to malign the image of the state government through engineering violence, he said.
He said that the Congress top brass was coming in the way of all projects in the state. The TRS government was however firm on completion of the projects despite the hurdles being created, he said. The completion of the projects on time would sound the death knell for them, and that was why the Congress leaders were making a hue and cry about them and taking to the streets to target the government, he alleged.
