Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday slammed Congress leaders for making derogatory remarks about Telangana.
Addressing a meeting at L B Nagar, KCR said that Congress leaders were repeatedly trying to insult the people of Telangana by making offensive remarks.
Referring to Vayalar Ravi's
"dosa" comments, he said that the Union minister had deliberately made the remarks to provoke Telangana people.
Meanwhile, the TRS president demanded that women be given an equal and fair opportunity in employment in the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. He also alleged regional discrimination in the RTC's recruitment process.
Condemning the contract system in the corporation, he said that a case should be filed against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for implementing the system. He also announced that the TRS would regularise contract workers after the formation of a Telangana state. (INN)
