Municipal Administration & Textiles Minister K T Rama Rao today excoriated the Congress leaders for their "unrelenting rhetoric" against the TRS government.
Addressing a public meeting at Sircilla Rajanna district today along with Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy after launching a new ITI building, KTR said that the Congress had failed miserably to develop the region in the combined state, and was now resorting to mud-slinging and vilification.
Unable to bear the progress in the state under the TRS rule, the opposition leaders were routinely making false allegations of corruption and irregularities, he said.
The minister said that the Congress was afraid of a bleak future as the TRS dispensation was able to keep up all its promises and implement welfare schemes reaching the poor and needy in the new state.
Having addressed the power crisis efficiently, the TRS government was on the verge of offering potable water to all the villages deprived so far of that facility through Mission Bhagiratha, he claimed. He also said that KCR was making a "Bhagiratha-like" effort to complete projects like Kaleshwaram and Palamur-Ranga Reddy. Unable to stomach the development and the welfare programs, the opposition, fearing a total rout in the next elections, was going hammer and tongs at the government with false charges, he claimed.
KTR also ridiculed the Congress for making impossible promises. The TRS would get the mandate of the people and be in power for the next 15 years, he claimed.
