Former TPCC president and former minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah today lashed out at Telangana CM KCR for not fulfilling any of the promises made to the people of the state before the last two Assembly elections.
He also dared KCR to a debate on the TRS manifesto with him.
Lakshmaiah alleged that 34 promises made in the 2014 and the 2018 election manifestos of the TRS had not been fulfilled by the CM so far.
He said that the ruling party had even removed its manifestos from the Internet as it was scared of facing the wrath of the people.
He pointed out that the manifesto of the Congress was however still on the Internet, and that an election manifesto was no less than a Bhagavad Gita for his party.
Scoffing at the claims of the CM that he had fulfilled 99% of the promises made by him, Lakshmaiah alleged that not even 1% of the promises had actually been fulfilled so far.
Referring to the promise of KCR to turn Karimnagar into another London as an example, he asked the CM what happened to that.
He also alleged that the CM had cheated the people of Huzurnagar by promising Kaleswaram waters to them, and said that such cheating tactics would not last long in politics.
He also said that the Congress had implemented 80% of the promises that it had made to the people of the state during its rule.
