Sangareddy MLA and Congress leader T Jagga Reddy today criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his statements on crops in the state.
He said that the farmers were in a state of confusion due to the statements of the CM.
He said that there had been no regulation so far on which crop was to be cultivated in the state, but that KCR appeared like he would start such rules.
Reddy said that the farmers were aware of which crops they should cultivate in their fields, and called the decision of the state government to link the Rythu Bandhu scheme with the crops grown unfortunate.
He alleged that the CM was blackmailing the farmers of the state with his statements, and said that it was sad that the farmers were now losing even the freedom on the crops they cuuld cultivate.
He said that soon the CM would perhaps also decide the food to be consumed by the people of the state, and asked the CM if he wanted the farmers to live as slaves.
He also demanded that the CM confirm if the Rythu Bandhu scheme was applicable to vegetable farmers, too.
