If Congress spokesperson Thulasi Reddy was to have his way, he would see to it that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, and Left leaders K Narayana and B V Raghavulu, don uniforms and make their way to a primary school to learn mathematics.
Thulasi Reddy advised the trio on Saturday that a primary school would teach them enough mathematics so that they get to know that Chief Minister K Rosaiah has not 'subtracted' any welfare scheme initiated by YSR.
"Not only that, the government has not reduced any fund allocation for any welfare schemes," he added.
The Congress spokesperson also reminded the 3 leaders that the TDP, during its tenure, had not allotted anything for the 'Pavala Vaddi' scheme while the present government has allotted Rs. 27 crore for the same scheme in 2010-2011.
Citing another example, Thulasi Reddy said that the TDP had allocated a paltry Rs. 308 crore during the 2003-2004 period for the scholarships scheme.
He said that the Rosaiah government has allocated a whopping Rs. 2,780 crore for the scheme for 2010-2011.
As a parting shot, the Congress spokesperson expressed his doubt on his own advice of asking the 3 leaders to attend a primary school. He wondered whether this 'education' would enable these 'childish' leaders to be able to match up with the immense experience of Rosaiah, who had the distinction of presenting the state Budget on 16 different occasions.
