The Hyderabad police today said that they had arrested Vanitha, the estranged wife of late Telugu comedian Vijay Sai who had committed suicide by hanging himself at his Yousufguda residence recently.
However, the police have not announced when Vanitha will be paraded before the media.
It may be recalled that actor Vijay Sai committed suicide by hanging himself on December 11. The police are likely to interrogate Vanitha over abetting Vijay's suicide.
Vijay in his suicide video accused Vanitha of harassing him and demanding Rs 3 crores to settle the divorce case between them. At the end of the video, Vijay urged his father not to spare anyone and ensure that action was taken against all those he named.
