Telangana has been chosen for the India Business Leader Awards as the "Most Promising State Of The Year" by the CNBC-TV18 channel.
The channel's India Business Leader Awards are considered to be a benchmark recognition for India's business leadership. The awards for this year are scheduled to be presented on the evening of August 30 at Grand New Delhi at Vasant Kunj Phase-II in New Delhi.
The awards ceremony will be presided over by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and will begin with a discussion on the GST Bill. The entire North Block team comprising of Arvind Subramanian, Ashok Lavasa, Shaktikanta Das and Dr Hasmukh Adhia will be present. Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smriti Irani and Nirmala Sitharaman, and others will also attend the awards function.
Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao will receive the award on behalf of the State government.
In a teleconference with the State government, the TV channel said that the award would reaffirm IBLA's commitment to encouraging business leaders.
