Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will inaugurate the Kakatiya Festival in Warangal on December 21.
Addressing a press conference at the state Secretariat after releasing the poster of the Kakatiya Festival on Wednesday, Tourism minister Vatti Vasant Kumar said that the festival would be held from December 21 to 23.
He said the festival would highlight the golden era of the Kakatiya dynasty and its contribution to Telugu culture.
While the inauguraal ceremony will be held at Warangal, the celebrations will be held at Kotagallu Ramappa Temple and Veyyikalla Mandapam.
Union Tourism minister K Chiranjeevi and Tamil Nadu governor K Rosaiah will also participate in the festival.
Several cultural programs will also be organised during the 3-day festival.
The Tourism department will operate special buses from Hyderabad to Warangal, and packages will also be offered to local tourists during the festival.
Ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah and B Saraiah, and Tourism Secretary Chandana Khan were also present at the press conference. (INN)
